The Backpack & School Supplies Drive Portion

The Backpack & School Supplies Drive portion will  benefit students in need in the Northend/ Metro Detroit.  We are happy to serve our neighbors here and abroad. For the past 7 years, we all come together in Detroit, throw this block party, and asked for backpack donations.  We’ve had some wonderful donors to help. This year we are hopeful to give even more away.

We are proud to announce that Peace Makers Ministries joined Hug Detroit Day as our International liaisons. A portion of this year's proceeds will go to the Covenant House and will also provide school supplies for Rebecca Modupeore Memorial School in Nigeria adopted by the Peace Makers Ministries group.

Feel free to donate can goods, school supplies and backpacks, for those who may be in need. Or feel free to hold your own Hug Detroit Day backpack & school supplies Drive at your job and in your community. We will make sure your donations will go far.
